Tracheal Rupture is a tear or break in the windpipe (trachea) or bronchial tubes, the major airways leading to the lungs.
This eight year old boy got his trachea ruptured in a cycling accident. Then he was on ventilator in the initial days before meeting Dr. Arvind Kumar at Medanta, Gurugram. The Treatment required Surgical suturing of the windpipe. Prof. Dr. Arvind Kumar and his team having the country’s largest experience of performing such challenging procedures, repaired his rupture and this boy is doing well after the surgery.
